To up the ante in the fierce competitive market google wants its email users to be served with better ads. But many people are concerned that people at Google read their emails to serve better ads and hence their privacy is breached.

But all those readin this article stay clam because people at Google do not see your gmail inbox.Clarifying their situation Gmail blog says:

To show these ads, our systems don’t need to store any extra information — Gmail just picks a different recent email to match. The process is entirely automated: no humans are involved in selecting ads, and no email or personal information is shared with advertisers.
