Subscribe Feed (RSS)The Fremont Police yesterday took a very hard stand against the sikh sangat visiting the Fremont Gurdwara Sahib. The Facebook Community of Fremont Gurdwara has strongly condemned such acts.
The Facebook Community representative for Fremont Gurdwara says:
Sangat was today targeted by Fremont Police for coming to Gurdwara to pray. Police was present at every road leading to Gurdwara Sahib and issued citations for anything and everything that they could find. If this is not persecution of Sikhs for wanting to come to Gurdwara Shaib then what is it? Its about time that sangat protest against these actions of police.
They further have said that police were not after the law but after the sikh sangat. In one of comment at Facebook Community The moderator reported:
Police forced handicapped, pregnant women and old people to walk for blocks today. This was no traffic control, it was an attempt to deter Sikhs from visiting Gurdwara.
