In a very wise and environment friendly decision the power supply provided at Sri Harmandar Sahib(the holiest sikh shrine), Amritsar, India will be moving to solar energy.
After Gurdwara Sahib, Fremont, USA (the first ever religious institution to move on solar energy) this wise step may encourage people of Punjab to move on solar energy & end existing power woes.
The contract will be executed by Punj Lloyd group’s renewable energy arm, Punj Lloyd Delta Renewables. The project will use solar photovoltaic technology and will be of 18 KWp (kilo-watt peak).
